Happy Easter 2011!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.  The weather in MN was beautiful today and even more so after this past week of really crappy weather.  We stayed in town for Easter and went to our friend's house for Easter dinner.  Everything was really yummy and I was grateful to not have to cook or clean!  Eddie got an Easter basket this morning.  Mostly it was filled with some cheap toys that I have picked up over the past few weeks, but he did have a few eggs filled with some tasty treats.  By tasty, I mean yogurt-covered raisins, Cheerios, and some cheese crackers.  I know - totally the mean parents - no chocolate or jelly beans, but we figure he has plenty of years to fill up on that stuff!

I had Uncas take some belly pictures of me today.  I'm coming up on 32 weeks here very soon!  Time is really starting to fly by and every day I tell the little one that he/she needs to stay put!!!  We are getting close to wrapping up our basement project and then we can finally get some stuff ready for the baby's arrival.

 

Weekend Recap

This weekend my parents came up for a quick trip.  It was really nice because I have been super tired lately.  They got here Saturday before lunch and in the afternoon Uncas and I headed out to do some shopping.  We managed to purchase some furniture for our basement (which is still an ongoing/never-ending project).  Then we all went out to dinner.  Eddie did great at the restaurant and I am so thankful for that. 

Sunday my mom and I did a little bit of shopping, but then they left in the early afternoon.  It was fun for them to see how much Eddie has changed in just one month.  He definitely likes receiving attention and trying to make people laugh.  He also enjoys to dance.  My mom's favorite thing was when I told him "no" and he promptly went over to Grandma!  That little stinker!!!

This weekend Uncas and I got new cell phones. It had been a very long process to find new phones, and what provider and plan to choose. I am so glad its all over. With this new phone, I can post to my blog. How fun is that?!

Oh Baby

No, no news to report on my baby front, although more on that topic later.  This past weekend we  visited some good friends who recently had their first baby.  We were very excited to go meet Baby Grace and she is completely adorable!  She was just over a week old when we saw her.  Both Uncas and I spent some time holding her (she slept for pretty much the whole visit).  Our friends seem to be settling into parenthood quite nicely.  Eddie found Grace to be interesting, but when Uncas and I were holding her, he didn't seem to mind or care.  I take this as a good sign for when our new baby comes.  Towards the end he wanted to touch her, so we had to remind him to be "gentle".

As I mentioned before nothing too exciting to report with my pregnancy.  I am growing more uncomfortable by the day, but that's to be expected.  I have about 10 weeks left (or maybe 12 if this one keeps time like Eddie).  We decided to put together another baby pool for this one.  Feel free to take a guess of the gender, date of birth, time, weight, etc . . . at this site here.  It's free and fun!

I am so lazy these days.  I really don't feel like doing any blog posts, so instead I will give you a picture post.  It's been nice here, so we have been spending as much time as possible outside and getting Eddie familiar with our yard.

Sleeping Beauty

These days Eddie is pretty much on the go - constantly!  The other afternoon he was sleeping soundly and it was getting pretty late.  I needed to wake him up, so his bedtime wouldn't be completely messed up.  I went upstairs, put some stuff away, and checked in on him, thinking he would have woken up.  But no, he was still sleeping soundly.  I crept back downstairs, and grabbed the camera so I could take some pictures of my sweet little boy sleeping.
