I have been so behind in posting lately. This week we spent time recovering from the big birthday. In some ways it was a long week, but in other ways it flew by. Just when we thought spring was here, it snowed this past week giving us about 5 inches or so. But due to the weather, my cousin Kevin was stuck in Minneapolis for the night on his way home from Japan (he had been studying abroadd for the semester, but had to come home). It took him a long time to get home because of the weather, but we really enjoyed seeing him and he shared with us some sweets that he brought from Japan. We hope he can go back to finish out the semester!
On Saturday Uncas and I had a date day! Our friends watched Eddie, so we went out for brunch and then headed to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. I was able to snag some passes at our library, so we were able to get into the traveling exhibit for free. It was really a wonderful day and we enjoyed taking our time looking around.
Yesterday I also took some belly pictures. On Tuesday I'll be 28 weeks and start the 3rd trimester! I can't believe we only have a 1/3 of the way left. I am really excited! I can't wait to not be pregnant! (Although for the record, I in no way want this baby to come early. We have much to do get ready and I am cherishing this time while Eddie is still an only child!)
Eddie's been doing great this week. He actually started doing the sign for eating. We also taught him how to "buzz" like a bee. It's really quite cute! He is walking more and more and has really wanted to spend more time with Sammy.
Sammy's not always excited to have Eddie come take over his bed, but Eddie just wants him to lick his head! Crazy child!
Speaking of Sammy - last night he was on the couch sleeping while Uncas and I were watching tv. At one point I seriously thought he was dead he was laying so still! Crazy Dog!
And finally - since it's March, it means that it's March Madness time! For the past three years my family has done a little NCAA basketball tournament pool. It's just for fun and we created a traveling plaque for the winner. The first year my brother won and last year my mom won. I am excited to say that this year I won! The tournament's not over yet, but none of us have anyone left! It was very close - down to just my brother and myself. Fortunately the teams he picked for the Final 4 lost, and I ended up with the most points! Here I am with the plaque (we're waiting until the end of the actual tournament to put my name on it!)
